SELECTIVE
HARD ANODIZING
Erie Protective Coatings
has over the past few years been involved in special masking of components
requiring selective anodizing. Such an application is seen in close tolerance
mating components, parts where threads need to be protected to prevent
thread interference or in components requiring certain areas
of electrical continuity. The masking can be as simple as inserting of
special plugs into the required areas or it could involve extensive painting
of the area requiring no anodizing. After the anodizing process is
completed the masking is carefully remove.
